16-DAYS ACTIVISM AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE ORGANISED BY GMBE (25TH NOVEMBER - 10TH DECEMBER 2020. THEME: "ORANGE THE WORLD":

In order to make a difference in the lives of women and girls in our community during this on-going COVID-19 pandemic and protracted state of economic crisis which has largely affected them, GMBE organized a 'talk to women and girls' session on 'SAY NO TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, RAPE AND FGM'. We encouraged them to speak out when faced with any form of violence, and report cases of such around their vicinity to ensure safety for their counterparts.
We also organized training sessions on production of soap, insecticide, bleach and air freshener especially to full-time house wives and teenage girls that are not in school.

  Women and girls in Nigeria have had various challenges in order to obtain equal education in all forms of formal education in Nigeria. Education is a basic human right and has been recognized as such since the 1948 adoption of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights.
